Cosmetic Dentistry Sarasota - Cosmetic Dentistry Bradenton - Veneers in Sarasota - Veneers in Bradenton
Offering dental implants in Sarasota, Bayview Dental can provide a fixed solution to having missing teeth, removable dentures, or older crowns. Our practice provides services including single and multiple tooth implants, and full arch dental implants.
At Bayview Dental we have the capabilities to complete the entire implant process from beginning to end. Occasionally a patient desiring treatment does not have enough bone to support the implant. In such a circumstance, bone grafting is necessary. Grafting can help stabilize the jaw and limit bone recession.
There are three types of bone grafts that we will consider based on your unique circumstance: Autogenous Bone Graft, Allograft Bone Graft, Xenograft. During the surgery, the dentist will numb the grafting and extraction sites using local anesthetic. On occasion, a synthetic membrane may be used to cover the new bone. This membrane prevents soft tissue and bacterial invasions, and encourages new bone growth. The surgery does not require an overnight stay, and you will be provided with comprehensive instructions for your post-operative care. Our doctors will prescribe medications to help manage infection, discomfort and swelling.
After bone grafts are successfully completed and healed, or if grafts are not necessary, implants are surgically placed into the jawbone. After the titanium implant is given sufficient time to integrate and fuse with the bone, an impression is made for the dental crown.
Dental implants are very strong, stable, and durable and will last many years, but on occasion, they will have to be re-tightened or replaced due to normal wear.
Reasons for dental implants:
· Replace one or more missing teeth without affecting adjacent teeth.
· Resolve joint pain or bite problems caused by teeth shifting into missing tooth space.
· Restore a patient’s confident smile.
· Restore chewing, speech, and digestion.
· Restore or enhance facial tissues.
· Support a bridge or denture, making them more secure and comfortable.
